Aussies angry as Renegade Gayle woos TV anchor with double entendre

The tall, handsome and hard-hitting West Indian Chris Gayle has swept Tasmania's bowling to sixes winning the match for his team, Melbourne Renegades, and went on to sweep the female TV anchor who came to interview him for the feat off her feet. As pretty Mel McLaulin of Channel 10 interviewed him on Monday, Chris suggested to her she could do more than the interview and had better go out with him. "I came here to give you the interview. To see your lovely eyes. Don't act shy. Let's go out." Pretty Mel denied she was shy and continued with the interview. This conversation between two professionals was not to the liking of Aussie fans. Raising a storm over Gayle sweeeping the girl off her feet, the Aussie social media were agog with Gayle's audacity. Former England Captain Andrew Flintoff, who is a commentator, found fault with the West Indian over his public remarks in a live channel. Big Bash CEO Anthony Averd also found Gayle's behaviour inappropriate, and he said so in a press release. This is not the first time that Gayle has been caught in a romantic storm. On a previous occasion, the tall West Indian talking to a woman interviewer told her about the pitch with sexual overtones. Curious that Aussies are going back to the Victorian morality of double entendre.
