JC wants direct polls for PM, CM posts

J.C. Diwakar Reddy, MP, who is known for raising controversies galore, has come out with a new proposal. He wants a new system by which the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers of States are directly elected by the people. He said a direct elections to each respective office would be good for the polity. Although he did not elaborate on the matter, Diwakar Reddy, of TDP, was obviously goaded by the performance of the various Houses, facing frequent disruptions and so on. This will have to be taken with his earlier controversial statement that MLAs and MLCs were not at all required in his scheme of things. Hopefully the senior leader will come out with an elaborate statement for the people to take his view seriously. Already the MP has made curious statements regarding Special Status for AP, TDP functioning and Chandrababu Naidu also.
