Vijayakant dares journalists to ask `Amma' same question

Tamil actor and DMDK leader Vijayakant has lashed out at journalists for asking an embarrassing question. The DMDK organised a blood donation camp on Sunday. At an informal press meet in connection with the camp, a journalist asked Vijayakant whether AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa would return to power in the elections scheduled in the New Year. At first, the official leader of the opposition in the Tamil Nadu assembly said there was no such possibility. The answer was fair enough. After apparently mulling over his own answer, Vijayakant flew into a rage and questioned the journalists whether they had the guts to put the same question to Jayalalithaa. "You people are scared even to talk about her. Are you really journalists?" He then spat out with a hissing sound. Journalist organisations condemned the incident. They found fault with Vijayakant's attitude toward journalists. They demanded that Vijayakant should unconditionally apologise in the matter.
