Ordeal ends, 3 Keralites return home after being tortured in Saudi Arabia

Hyderabad, Dec 26: Finally, the ordeal of being tortured by their employer in an alien country has come to an end for the three Indians hailing from the northern part of Kerala state. The three Keralites flew into Thiruvananthapuram airport in the early hours today and got an emotional reunion with their families. It may be recalled that the three men had posted a video on the internet that showed their employer in Saudi Arabia physically torturing them and beating them with a wooden club at a brick factory in Abha town. Following an outcry from their families and public, the Indian government contacted the Saudi government and rescued the three of them. The three, identified as Abhishek, Vimal and Baiju are from Haripad town in north Kerala. The 21-year-old Abhishek is a trained electrician. He was cheated on the pretext of job and was forced to work in a brick factory. It's the same story for 29-year-old Baiju, a plumber and 30-year-old Vimal. Meanwhile, police had registered a case against the local job agent who allegedly promised the three men jobs in Yemen as electricians. They were, however, duped and taken to Abha in Saudi Arabia. They were forced to work in a brick manufacturing company there.
