Sonia chides Cong MP for `corrupt' slogan against PM

The grand old party, the Congress, is at last seeing the charges and slogans it's making against the Prime Minister in the right perspective. As their wont, Congress member Athir Ranjan Chaudhri rushed into the well of the House in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday and raised slogans against the Prime Minister, who was present, as corrupt and so on. Leader of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi, who was also present, called Chaudhri and pleaded with him not to raise `corruption' slogans against the Prime Minister. Avoid Prime Minister's name in corruption slogans, she told him. The result was total silence of the opposition. Mum's the word thereafter for the Congress as long as the Prime Minister was present in the House. The Prime Minister later left for Moscow for meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other leaders. The Congress has of late become jumpy, with its members rushing into the well in their angst. Even if the members present in the House numbered 45, they raise slogans of corruption against the Prime Minister, among other slogans. The change in the script in regard to graft is obviously because of the clean chit Narendra Modi has got all round. Sonia Gandhi's chiding her party member is thus far-reaching. If today's change in the Congress script holds good, Lok Sabha proceedings are going to hold out much promise for the people.
