YCP boycotts AP Assembly session

There won't be disruptions in the AP Assembly for the rest of the Winter Session at least. How is it so? The Opposition YCP has decided to boycott the Assembly session to protest against the unprecedented punishment meted out to their party leader R.K. Roja from entering the House for 1 year. The boycott also related to the Call Money racket investigation. The YCP was not expected to take the severity of the ruling on Roja lying down. The party made it clear as soon as the House met and formalities such as wishing the leader of the opposition, Jaganmohan Reddy, on his birthday were gone through. Jagan annnounced the boycott at the first opportunity and trooped out of the House along with his party members even as Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad pleaded with him. The party would boycott the rest of the session. This has now put the ball back in Treasury benches court. The Bills could be passed without any opposition disruptions.
