Tirumala braces up for Vykuntha Ekadasi
While buses arriving in Tirumala are packed and thousands of people are standing around the hill top, the Vykuntham queue complex is as such virtually empty! The curious situation has arisen because the pilgrims want to coincide their darshan with the auspicious Vykuntha Ekadasi which falls tomorrow. The entry for Ekadasi starts from 10 a.m. on Sunday, so the pilgrims awaited the auspicious hour to get in. As for darshan today, there are not many takers, and only two halls in the queue complex were full early in the morning. They are also going to be blessed with darshan via the Vykuntham path. Darshan overnight has hardly taken 2 hours. Security staff have, however, tightened the arrangements owing to the presence of pilgrims in thousands outside the queue complex. The TTD authorities, who have suspended allotment of rooms on VIP recommendations, have proposed to make the allotment only on the physical presence of VIP pilgrims for the occasion.
