Nadda lays foundation stone for AIIMS at Mangalgiri

Hyderabad, Dec 19: Union Health Minister J P Nadda today laid the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on the campus of the TB Sanatorium at Mangalagiri of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. Later, speaking during the function, Nadda said the construction works of AIIMS will be completed in three years. Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took part in the foundation stone laying ceremony. The 900-bed AIIMS at Mangalagiri is going to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1,618 crore and it would have world class facilities, Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas informed the media. Others who took part in the function include union ministers Sujana Chowdary, Ashok Gajapati Raju, MPs Galla Jayadev, K Haribabu, Maganti Babu and Gokaraju Gangaraju.
