Roja suspended as per Assembly rules: Yanamala

Hyderabad, Dec 19: Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu today clarified that YSRCP MLA RK Roja was suspended for a year from the state Assembly as per rules of the House. Today immediately after the Assembly session commenced on the third day, the leader of the opposition and YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy said suspending Roja for a year was against the rules of the Assembly. Jagan demanded the treasury benches to clarify the reasons behind suspending Roja from the Assembly for a year. Repying to this, Yanamala said Roja's suspension was not the decision of any one person. It was the collective decision of the entire assembly, he added. Yanamala went on to clarify that Roja's suspension was as per the powers of the Assembly. He then said that even the courts do not have the authority to question the decisions of the Assembly.
