Call Money catches nation's attention

National media have taken an interest in the Call Money racket. They have reported that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu may not be able to totally defeat his nemesis in regard to the Loan Money racket that is acquiring dangerous proportions. Even as the Opposition, led by YCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy, is mounting pressure on the TDP government to act in the investigation, the government has been able to ward off pressure owing to its majority strength. The Chief Minister has already been forced to order a judicial inquiry into the racket, national media report. It reveals how with a single phone call loans could be given and assets such as houses could be alienated, besides the criminal activity it entails. Focus was on how housewives were pushed into flesh trade. It asserted that political nexus was clear in the matter. The report took cognizance of opposition allegations that several top TDP leaders have a nexus with the racketeers. Owing to the presssure, the Chief Minister has had to yield somewhat to his nemesis already.
