Pune girl gives ATS quite a run

The 16-year-old Pune girl studying Inter first year has given the police there quite a run, as they were unable to fix her identity. Although she has 200 fans on the internet, she remained incognito for quite some time. Belonging to a well-to-do family, the girl had never revealed her intentions to join the ISIS either in Syria or Iraq next year. She apparently fell for the promise of medical education offered by ISIS elements. She concealed her plans both from her parents and teachers. The girl's identity was at last established following the arrest of an Indian Oil Corporation official, Sirajuddin, who has set up a network for interested elements, last week. The ATS (Anti-Terrorist Squad) chief, Bhanu Pratap Barge, has sought the help of the girl's parents to wean her away from the ISIS.
