Tamil actor-lyricist Shimbu's arrest appears certain

Tamil actor-singer-lyricist Shimbu, who is at large following a case being registered against him, is certain to fall into the police dragnet. Shimbu's song, posted on Whatsapp, has drawn a lot of flak. The song, stated to be misogynistic, has been protested by the All-India Mather Sangham. The Sangham has also lodged a complaint with the Chennai Police Commissioner. As Shimbu disappered, the Police Commissioner is stated to have directed the Kovai Race Course police not to appear before him till they effect the arrest. With the police spreading the dragnet, Shimbu is sure to fall into it. Meanwhile, Shimbu is understood to be making efforts to obtain a bail in the case. Apart from Shimbu, the music director, Anirudh, is also facing arrest. Now in Canada, Anirudh is expected to land later on Wednesday. He is going to be arrested as he lands, according to the police.
