Chandrababu lays foundation stone for agriculture university in Guntur
Hyderabad, Nov 16: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu this morning laid the foundation stone for the state's Agriculture University at Lam Farm in Guntur.
Among others who attended the function included Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu, Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Nirmala Sitharaman.
The central government had sanctioned Rs 200 crore for the Agriculture University and then agreed to establish a Brooder Research Station at Kavali in Nellore district in addition to an Aquaculture Research Station at Kakinada in East Godavari district.
Lam Farm, also known as the Regional Agriculture Research Station, will now be housing the farm university named as Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University (ANGRAU).
