Bauxite mining: Pawan Kalyan says govt not to hurt tribal interests

Hyderabad, Nov 12: Telugu actor and Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan today said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister assured him that bauxite mining will be taken up in Vizag agency area without hurting the interests of tribals. He made these comments after holding two-hour discussion with Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada. In fact, the issue of bauxite mining actually surfaced during the government of Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He then said that he took the problems of the villagers under the capital region to the notice of Chandrababu, who is said to have assured that lands will not be taken away by force under land pooling system. He is believed to have urged the CM to look into problems of the rest of the state instead of focusing completely on Amaravati.
