Rs.5 lakh looted from Jharkhand bank

Ranchi, Nov 6: Three unidentified people on Friday looted Rs.5 lakh from a bank in Jharkhand's Chatra district, police said. The robbers held the cashier of the Bank of India's Tutilawa branch at gun-point and looted the cash kept in the bank, a police officer said. Chatra is around 170 km from state capital Ranchi. The criminals escaped on a bike after looting the bank, police said, adding that they have launched an operation to arrest the criminals. On Wednesday, criminals looted Rs.21 lakh from a person in Jamshedpur. On the same day, criminals looted Rs.3 lakh from another person in Ranchi.
