TN Telugu students protest over compulsory Tamil rule

Chennai, Nov 03: Telugu speaking students in Tamil Nadu have organised a massive rally in protest against the state government's rule to learn Tamil compulsorily. Telugu students living across Tamil Nadu today staged protests demanding the government to safeguard their linguistic interests. Recently, Tamil Nadu government has issued orders excluding Telugu from syllabus of various educational boards. With this students who pursued Telugu language all these days are forced to learn Tamil. The students appealed to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Ministers to take initiative and to resolve the problems of Telugu speaking students in Tamil Nadu.
