Kondaveeti Vagu flood water may pose threat to capital work
Vijayawada, Nov 02: The construction work in the capital city will not take off any time in near future until the challenge of Kondaveeti Vagu flood water is resolved. The first phase of the capital city may be delayed by at least six months as the officials are yet to find a solution to flooding of the stream which inundates 13,000 acres of the 30, 000 acres land acquired for the capital city. Construction of reservoirs and diversion of flood water to either Prakasam Barrage or existing irrigation canals are the other options to ensure that the flood water does not interfere construction activity.
