Helmet compulsory in AP from today
Vijayawada, Nov 1: Compulsory helmet rule came into effect in Andhra Pradesh from Today. Most of the two-wheeler riders in the state were seen wearing helmets.
Those violating helmet rule will be fined Rs 100 and if they violate the rule second time, their two-wheeler will be seized.
Police collected fines from the two-wheeler riders not wearing helmets. According to reports, police reportedly collected fines without issuing any receipts. In some places, riders were seen arguing with police on the quantum of fine.
Higher officials warned that action would be initiated on the police personnel found collecting fines without issuing receipts.
