Chandrababu gives nod for APSRTC bus fare hike

Hyderabad, Oct 17: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is said to have in principle approved the APSRTC's proposal to increase the bus fares. Chandrababu's green signal to increase the bus fares by 3 paisa per kilometre came during a recent cabinet sub-committee meeting, sources said. However, the chief minister directed the APSRTC officials to announce the bus fare hike after the Amaravati foundation stone laying ceremony, sources said. RTC proposes to raise additional revenue of Rs 300 crore through the bus fare increase, sources added.
