Nayani says Talasani did not resign from his MLA seat

Hyderabad, Oct 8: Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy today put his foot in his party's mouth by revealing that Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav did not resign from his Sanatnagar seat before joining TRS. His revelation came when media persons asked him after the TRSLP meeting as to when will there be by-elections for the Sanatnagar legislative assembly seat. To that question, Nayani blurted out that Talasani hasn't resigned from the seat yet. It may be recalled that Talasani quit TDP and joined TRS before becoming a minister in the KCR government. Ever since, TDP had been demanding his resignation from the legislature citing constitutional provisions. The issue has become a major bone of contention between TDP and TRS in Telangana. TDP has also knocked on the doors of the high court on this issue.
