Power to become dearer in AP
Vijayawada, Oct 06: AP Transco has sought permission from Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Regulatory Commission to collect Rs 620 crore excess charges from the consumers in the name of 'true up adjustment'. AP Transco has filed a note before the Electricity Regulatory Commission stating that the 'true up adjustment' has mounted to Rs 620 crore. Transco collected Rs 700 crore in excess from power distribution companies and instead of returning the money it is demanding more funds. Expressing concern over the possibility of higher tariff next year, several organisations have filed objections with the commission. The commission's public hearing is scheduled on October 7.
