Special projects more important for AP than special status: Venkaiah Naidu

Hyderabad, Oct 3: Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu today said that getting special projects is more important for Andhra Pradesh than getting a special status. He made this observation during the foundation stone laying ceremony of a 30-bed hospital at Podalakuru village in Nellore district. He clarified that prime importance will be given to sanctioning projects to Andhra Pradesh. Stating that special status has been given to 11 states so far in the country, Venkaiah said all of them are today struggling to get new projects. "Even then lets fight for a special status for AP," he said.
