Gold tumbles for 5th day in a row

Hyderabad, Oct 1: For the fifth day in a row gold prices dropped today by Rs 250 to a low of Rs 26,150 per 10 grams at the bullion market, reports said. The precious metal is trading at two week lows due to global cues and sluggish demand from jewellers. Similarly, silver shed Rs 150 to settle at Rs 34,600 per kg on decreased offtake by coin makers and industrial units. In the Singapore market, gold dropped 0.2 per cent to USD 1,111.83 an ounce.
