2 more farmers commit suicide in TS
Hyderabad, Sept 26: Even as TJAC chairman Professor Kodandaram said that farmers were committing suicides due to the negligence of governments, two more farmers took their lives in Telangana.
While one debt-ridden farmer named Gangaram hanged himself to death in Nizamabad district, another farmer named Srisailam consumed pesticide and died in Ranga Reddy district early today.
Gangaram had debts to the tune of over Rs 10 lakh debts, which he could not repay due to heavy crop loss. His family members were informed of his death by neighbouring farmers.
Srisailam, who was in debt to the tune of Rs 1.20 lakh, was rushed to the Vikarabad government hospital. He, however, died while undergoing treatment.
