Fresh row in Rajasthan over Government order on Bakr-Id

Jaipur, Sept 14: A government order in Rajasthan on blood donation camp on September 25 that coincides with the Muslim festival of Bakr-Id is stirring up fresh controversy in the BJP-ruled state. Bakr-Id is a holiday. However, the Vasundhara Raje government is planning to declare the day as a working day and it wants to mark the birth anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya on September 25. Deen Dayal is an icon of the BJP and its ideological mentor Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Obviously, the Rajesthan government's order upset the Muslim groups in the state. They had decided to approach the court against the state government's decision to cancel the holiday.
