Uncertainty over YSRCP meet on special status as AP Govt denies permission

Tirupati, Sept 14: Andhra Pradesh Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao told the Sri Venkateswara University authorities not to give permission to the student wing of YSRCP for holding a convention on the special status to the state. With this development, there is uncertainty over the convention. The student wing of the YSRCP is believed to have sought permission from the SVU authorites to hold the meeting on September 15 at the varsity auditorium in Tirupati to discuss on the benefits of special status to AP and the resultant creation of employment opportunities to the youth. YSCP Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was to take part in the event. With Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao involving in the issue, YSRCP Nagari MLA Roja slammed the government for the denial of permission.
