Vontimitta Ramalayam merged with TTD

Vontimitta (Kadapa), Sep 09: The 450-year-old Kodandarama Swamy temple at Vontimitta near Rajampet in Kadapa district was officially merged with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) today. TTD chairman Chadalawada Krishnamurthy, executive board members Bhanuprasad Reddy, Pasuleti Hariprasad, Government Whip Meda Mallikharjun Reddy and others participated in the merger ceremony. Krishnamurthy assured that adequate funds will be released for the development of Vontimitta temple. He said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would present 'Silk Vastrams' and 'Mutyala Thalambralu' on behalf of TTD for Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavam at the temple in April. Government Whip Meda Mallikharjun Reddy said that TTD will take up Rs 100 crore development in the temple as assured by CM Chandrababu Naidu. The temple chairman urged Chadalawada to make special arrangements for the locals for darshan.
