Saudi diplomat accused of using two Nepalese women as sex-slaves
New Delhi, Sept 9: After a senior diplomat of the Saudi Arabian embassy, along with his wife, has been accused of using two women from Nepal as sex-slaves in the Gurgaon region, India is perhaps walking into a trap due to the major diplomatic scandal. Gurgaon police had filed an FIR against the two. The diplomat is the First Secretary at the Saudi embassy. The FIR reveals that trafficers had lured the two Nepalese women to India after making false promise of jobs. The trafficers then are said to have sold them to the diplomat. The two victims, aged 30 and 32, in their statements told the police that the diplomat's family had held them captive for more than three months before being taken to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia for a short stay. The women stated that all this while they were molested repeatedly. They were also forced to perform “unnatural sex” at knife-point with the First Secretary and other Saudi nationals. Latest reports said, Saudi embassy had dismissed the charges as “completely false” and “contrary to facts in our possession”. However, the embassy said it will await a clarification on the issue from the Indian government as per diplomatic norms. Meanwhile Gurgaon police spokesperson and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajesh Chechi revealed the two women were rescued after a Nepalese NGO came to know of their plight from another Nepali victim. Soon after a rape case was registered, the senior diplomat was found to be “untraceable".
