Telangana archakas call off strike

Hyderabad, Sep 04: Archakas and other temple staff in Telangana called off their stir following the talks with Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy. It may be noted that temple staff launched indefinite strike seeking payment of salaries through treasury and for redress of other long standing demands. Indrakaran Reddy assured that he would try to resolve the grievance of temple staff by September 15. The Minister said that government would examine the feasibility of providing health cards to temple staff. The strike has affected Arjitha sevas in temples across the state for the past 10 days.
