AP Assembly session begins, tributes paid to Kalam, stampede victims

Hyderabad, Aug 31: The monsoon session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly began by paying rich tributes to former President APJ Abdul Kalam here on today. The Assembly also paid homage to victims of stampede in Rajahmundry. The house observed a minute silence after Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu moved the condolence motion in the beginning. Chandrababu claimed that he proposed Kalam's name for President post. He said that Kalam brought laurels for the country and strove to instil scientific spirit in youth. Leader of Opposition and YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that Kalam rose from a humble position and served people through out his life.
