Rains forecast for Coastal AP, TS

Hyderabad, August 27: The India Meteorological Department forecast that North coastal Andhra Pradesh and several parts of Telangana are likely to experience rains today due to the development of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. As a result the following districts are likely to experience heavy rains in the next 24 hours: Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, IMD sources said. The sources also said that IMD issued a cyclone alert in Visakhapatnam. IMD sources also said that low pressure conditions are also existing over Rayalaseema and south Tamil Nadu.
