Onions to be sold at discounted rates until prices come down: Minister Sunita

Hyderabad, August 27: Andhra Pradesh Minister Paritala Sunita today announced that the state government will continue to sell onions at a discounted rate through special counters at Raithu Bazaars until the commodity's prices come down. The minister gave this assurance after she inspected the Raithu Bazaar located in MVP colony in Visakhapatnam this morning along with another minister Ganta Srinivas Rao. Later, Ganta Srinivas Rao said the sale of discounted onions is burdening the state government to the tune of Rs 50 crores per day. He, however, clarified that in order to not inconvenience the people the government was willing to bear any amount of burden.
