Man attempts suicide as his daughter is denied job

West Godavari, August 26: A man attempted suicide after coming to know that his daughter was ineligible for DSC in Andhra Pradesh State. One Durga Prasad today attempted suicide after dousing himself with petrol in Chebrolu village (Unguturu mandal, West Godavari district). He runs a hotel in Chebrolu. Prasad said that along with AP State, he also personally lost due to the State's bifurcation. He said his daughter, Nikhila, studied from sixth to tenth class in Hyderabad when they lived there. Later, as they shifted to their native village Chebrolu, she completed inter and degree course in Tadepalligudem. Now, the officials said that his daughter is ineligible for DSC in AP State. He contacted several higher officials and people's representatives but it was of no use. Depressed by the situation, he attempted suicide. Durga Prasad sought justice to his daughter. Now he is undergoing treatment in Eluru government hospital.
