Rs 2.7 cr worth Lamborghini Gallardo car catches fire

New Delhi, August 24: A Rs 2.7 crore worth Lamborghini Gallardo car suddenly caught fire in Delhi on Monday morning. The driver of the car escaped unhurt. The driver was passing through Badarpur area in South Delhi which was just delivered from service centre. All of a sudden fire broke out from the rear end of the car. The alert driver came out of the car. The fire fighters doused the fire but could save only the front portion of the car. The onlookers said the first spark came from somewhere in the engine since the car also charred from rear side only. Primary reports say that a leakage in the oil tank might have triggered a spark. Gallardo is a rear-engine supercar with a 5.5 litre V10 engine. The car can run at a speed of 350 km/hour. Within 10 years of its production, the supercar has created record of highest selling cars in the world. The car production was stopped in 2013.
