Prince Charles love letter fetches Rs 14 lakh

Hyderabad, August 15: Prince Charles love letter to his first girl friend was sold for Rs 14 lakh in an e-auction held recently. Prince Charles wrote this letter in 1975, one year before marrying Princess Diana. He wrote the letter to his first girl friend Janet Jenkins, who was then working as a receptionist in British Consulate in Montreal. He fell in love with her during his visit to Canada. He wrote letters to her and six of them came out. By that time, Janet was already married and took divorce from her husband. Prince Charles wrote in the letter "I think your apartment is the quietest place. Press will be after us in a flash if we went out. That is miserable." He also wrote - "I shall just have to get marries as soon as possible and then all these people might relax a little. I still think my solution of marrying a girl from each Commonwealth country is the best one."
