Parents called to pay fee of their dead daughter

Hyderabad, August 13: A distressing incident took place in Bahrain where a school management pressurised a couple to clear the outstanding fees of their daughter, who died seven months ago. Jophy Cherian and Shiny Philip's daughter Abia (8) died in January this year due to ill health. Abia studied in Indian School of Bahrain (ISB). The school staff called the girl's mother, Shiny, last week and asked to clear the outstanding fees of her daughter. The grieving mother informed them that their daughter was expired in January and told them to remove her name from school records. Jophy told the media that his wife is still in depression over the loss of their daughter and she is even more devastated by the frequent calls from the school. Later, the school Chairman Prince Natarajan came to know of this incident. He rendered apologies to the parents and said action will be taken on the staff.
