No decision on Osmania general hospital yet
Hyderabad, August 12: The Telangana government has not yet taken any decision on demolishing the Osmania General Hospital building.
Telangana State Additional Advocate General J Ramachandra Rao informed this to the High Court, regarding a PIL case filed by an advocate, BM Swami Dass.
The advocate filed the petition seeking the court to direct the State government from demolishing the building, which is an heritage structure.
S Satyam Reddy, senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner said that the news of the government's decision to demolish the Osmania General hospital building had appeared in a section of the media.
Also, Satyam Reddy pointed out the statement given by the
Deputy Chief Minister that any structure that becomes old should give way to new ones.
With the State Additional Advocate General informing that no decision was taken regarding this, the court closed the case and said any decision regarding the demolition of Osmania General Hospital building would be informed to the public.
