Woman allegedly kills son for Rs 10 lakh

Hyderabad, August 10: A woman allegedly killed her son for Rs 10 lakh, in Pune, Maharashtra last week. The incident came to light now. According to police, Tarun and Rakhee took divorce and their son Chaitanya Balpandey (13) was staying with his mother. Tarun took a life insurance policy on his son Chaitanya for Rs 10 lakh. Chaitanya was partly disabled boy. Police claim that Rakhee, with the help of her friend, had killed her son to claim the insurance money. Locals said that she used to torture her son and daily beat him. According to sources, Rakhee's mother once tried to take the boy along with her but Rakhee didn't agreed. She even threatened to file a kidnap case against her mother. Police filed a case and investigation is on.
