MBBS counselling halted

Hyderabad, July 29: The counselling for MBBS and BDS was stopped as student unions laid siege to the JNTU College on Wednesday. The counselling has commenced on Wednesday morning. Demanding reduction of fees in medical colleges, several students led by various student unions laid siege to the University College. ABVP, PDSU, SFI leaders and activists tried to obstruct the counselling. Tension prevailed for some time when the police tried to stop the agitators. The police arrested a few leaders and shifted them to police station. The students alleged that the counselling was stopped as the officials failed to take preventive measures.
