Anna Hazare to go on indefinite hunger strike from Oct 2

New Delhi, July 15: Veteran anti-corruption crusader and social activist Anna Hazare will go on indefinite hunger strike on October 2 over Land Acquisition Bill and One Rank One Pension issue. The protest will be held at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi. Mr Hazare was an ex-service man and he was posted at various places across the country. Retired army personnel were staging protest for the past several years for the implementation of One Rank One Pension scheme. The government assured that it would implement the scheme, but it did not specify any time frame. The Union government is under fire from farmers and various other political parties for removing consent clause in the Land Acquisition Bill.
