SC refused to lift stay on Rajiv's murderers

New Delhi/Hyderabad, July 15: The apex court on Wednesday has refused to lift the stay orders on the release of the murderers of ex-prime minister late Rajiv Gandhi. The five-member bench, including Supreme Court Chief Justice HL Dattu, has clearly stated that the orders that they have given earlier in this regard will continue. It is already known that the Supreme Court had directed the State government to be tolerant regarding the release of life-term prisoners on humanitarian grounds, in July 2014. The Supreme Court has adjourned the case to July 21.
