14 CMs skip Niti Aayog meet on land bill

New Delhi, July 15: Fourteen Chief Ministers stayed away from the meeting convened by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence today under the aegis of Niti Aayog to discuss amendments to the land bill. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar attended the meeting. Chief Minister of Congress ruled states, UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, West Bengal CM Mamatha Banerjee opposed the proposed amendments to the bill and stayed away from the meet. Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa too opposed amendments to the bill and sent her representative. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu too stayed away from the meet. He is in Rajahmundry and supervising arrangements for the devotees attending Godavari Pushkaralu.
