KCR inaugurates Pushkaralu in TS
Hyderabad, July 14: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao inaugurated the maiden Godavari Pushkaralu of the newly carved state at Dharmapuri in Karimnagar district this morning.
KCR and Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy along with their family members and chief pontiffs of several peethams performed special pujas and took the holy dip in River Godavari on this occasion.
The CM later inaugurated Pushkara pylon at the Bus Stand Centre in the town. The CM later offered special prayers at Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple in the town.
Spiritual leader Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swami inaugurated the pushkaralu at temple town Bhadrachalam. The government deputed Ministers to five districts were the pushkarams will be organised.
Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna and IT Minister KTR will oversee arrangements for the devotees at Basara in Adilabad.
Similarly, Irrigation Minister Harish Rao and R&B Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao will oversee arrangements for devotees at Bhadrachalam in Khammam district.
To ensure water at the bathing ghats along the river, Telangana government released water from Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP), Yellampalli and Kadem dams as its efforts to persuade Maharashtra government to release water from its dams yielded no result.
