ACB seeks five-day custody of TDP MLA Sandra
Hyderabad, July 7: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today produced TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah in court. It may be noted that yesterday, ACB called Sandra for questioning and arrested him in connection with cash-for-vote scam.
The officials today shifted Sandra for medical examination at Osmania General Hospital and later produced him in the ACB court.
The ACB officials informed the court that Sandra did not cooperate with officials yesterday and filed a petition seeking a five-day custody to gather information related to the case.
The officials named him as fifth accused in the case.
Sources said that Sandra is the kingpin in the scandal and he reportedly called Sebastian, one of the accused in the scam, 22 times over phone and tried to lure MLAs.
Rumours were agog that ACB may again question TDP leader Vem Narender Reddy.
