Waterproof pattadar passbooks soon

Hyderabad, June 22: The Telangana government is planning to issue waterproof pattadar passbooks and title deeds to farmers soon. Due to leakage of roofs during rainy season and other reasons the books are being damaged and the farmers are making rounds of MRO offices for new books. In order to find a permanent solution to this problem, the government decided to issue Passport quality waterproof pattadar passbooks and title deeds. The officials will verify the details submitted by the farmer and link documents and issue new passbook which includes Aadhar number and other details. There were instances in which pattadar passbooks were issued to the landless individuals and land details in the books mismatched with official land records. Officials recently found that 232 of 559 farm loan waiver beneficiaries in Sandilla village of Karimnagar district were landless and Rs 1.5 crore money was deposited in their bank accounts. The Revenue department is planning to curb the malpractices by issuing waterproof pattadar passbooks.
