GHMC sits on permission for Chandrababu’s house
Hyderabad, June 18: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has come under attack by Telugu Desam Party for denying permission to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to construct his house. Though the house permission application was submitted at GHMC circle office 45 days ago, permission was not accorded. Usually it takes a month to give permission to construct house. At present Chandrababu is staying at a rented house and he vacated the house located at Road No-65 at Jubilee Hills to carry out renovation work. Sources said Chandrababu mentioned the issue in Cabinet meeting held yesterday and Chief Secretary IYR Krishna Rao informed that GHMC asked the AP government to pay property taxes for the government buildings being used by it in order to give permission to Chandrababu’s house. Sources said that Governor reportedly expressed anger over AP R&B Principal Secretary Shyam Babu for failing to clear property tax dues. Meanwhile, GHMC officials have claimed that they have not received any application for reconstruction of Chandrababu’s house and added that GHMC circle office has the authority to approve buildings below three floors and 1000 sq mt area.
