Suryapet youth killed in Chhattisgarh encounter

Suryapet (Nalgonda), June 14: A 19-year-old youth from Suryapet was among the three Maoists who were killed in an encounter with police in Chhattisgarh on Friday. The deceased was identified as Vivek Kodamagundla alias Raghu (19). He was a 5 year LLB course drop out from Pedakanti Law College in Hyderabad. Vivek’s parents Yogananda Chary and Madhavi and neighbours were shell shocked when they came to know about his death in the encounter. Both the parents are government teachers. Vivek reportedly left home on October 9 to work for the liberation of the poor. A week later, he informed the parents that he would return home. Meanwhile, a Maoist spokesman in a statement alleged Vivek and two others were killed in unilateral firing by police.
