Indian shot dead by teenager in Florida, police catch him after long chase

Washington, May 21, 2015: In second similar incident in the last one month, a 16 year old American teenager shot dead an Indian at a convenience store at St.Augustine in Florida on Wednesday as part of his robbery attempt. The Indian community was shocked with the killing of Manav Deshi whose marriage has been fixed with his fiancee in a few days from now. After firing at Manav, 33,on his face repeatedly killing him on the spot, the teenager stole the money from the cash box and ran away from the scene along with his accomplice. However, police chased him and nabbed him ultimately after a long chase. Police had booked the teenager and his accomplice under several sections of US law. Police said Deshi had moved to St Augustine in Florida just two months ago from North Carolina. His parents were informed and are expected to arrive here. In a similar incident, unidentified miscreants shot dead one Sanjay patel , 39, at a gas station at Connecticut in a robbery attempt in April.
