CBI : Probe is not yet over in IAS officer DK Ravi death case
Bangalore, May 21 ,2015: Discounting reports in a section of the media that it has concluded the mysterious death of Karnataka IAS officer D.K. Ravi as a case of suicide, CBI has clarified that it has not yet completed the probe into his death.
CBI spokesperson Kanchan Prasad said in Bangalore that the agency is still probing all aspects of Ravi's unnatural death and all available evidences have been sent to the central forensic laboratory for examination and a thorough analysis.
Meanwhile, a leading English daily, quoting sources in a report, said CBI has found that D.K. Ravi has made only one phone call to his woman-batch mate officer on the day of his death and not 44 calls as reported in sections of the media.
The daily has said that CBI has put under its scanner all those who have been planting such stories in the media to sully the image of the deceased officer.
CBI is on the job to find out the persons who are instigating some people to twist facts and leak news to the media as part of the efforts to sully the image of DK Ravi, the daily said in its report.
It may be recalled that while an autopsy conducted by the Government doctors has concluded that it was a death by handing, the CBI is yet to unravel the mystery over the IAS officer's death.
