Baba Ramdeve rejects Cabinet Min status offered by Haryana Govt

New Delhi, April 21, 2015: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev declined to accept the Cabinet Rank status offered to him by the Haryana Government. Politely refusing to accept the proposal, Baba Ramdev told the Haryana Government he was thankful for the offer but he wanted to remain a Baba only. "I have no interest in getting the Cabinet Rank in your Government. Let me remain a Fakir ( Baba). I will serve you in my capacity as Yoga Guru," he told the government addressing a gathering where Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and other ministers were present. Baba Ramdev, who is a brand ambassador of the Haryana Government for promoting Ayurveda and Yoga. Earlier, Haryana Congress leaders opposed the move of the state Government and asked it to withdraw the notification issued conferring Cabinet rank status on Baba Ramdev.
